What We Provide
900 Yard Class
Our 900 Yard Class is a beginners level class, this course offers what you need to get started in long range shooting or long range hunting. The course is designed to teach ballistic programs, wind reading, gun setup and much more. Day one begins at 8 A.M. with introductions and a 3 hour class. After lunch we zero rifles and collect data out to 900 yards. We will verify your data from your ballistic calculator and your data collection to make sure they are the same.
Day 2 begins at 8 A.M. with an hour of review and then back on the range putting what you have learned on day one into practice. We will end the day with a friendly competition and good-byes to new friends made during the course.
Gear and Recommendations
Top of the list is scope and rifle combination. The rifle must be capable of consistently producing 1 MOA or better (1" at 100 yards). Scope must have tactical dials and a reticle with MOA or MIL indicators.
(See Blog information for recommendations).
Second is the type of ammo and how much. Ammo must be match grade or long range hunting style bullet. Example: Hornady ELDM is match grade and Hornady ELDX is long range hunting ammo. For the 900-yard course you will need a minimum of 100 rounds.
You will need your choice of ballistic calculator (phone app or Kestrel), rear bag, bipod and pen and paper. If you choose an App I recommend Applied Ballistic or Strelok Pro.
Sunscreen and insect repellent is recommended during warmer and hotter months of south Alabama. Finally, bring your ear and eye pro and any gear for PRS or hunting that you want to train with. Lets make sure your gear works before going to your first match or that hunt of a life time.
